About GoPassy

GoPassy is an independent iPhone app that turns your LinkedIn profile, portfolio, or any link into a QR code pass in Apple Wallet. It launched on the App Store in February 2026, and an Android version with Google Wallet support is coming soon.

Who builds it

GoPassy is built by Ellie Grant, a Rowan University Computing & Informatics graduate with a minor in Entrepreneurship, a former Carnegie Mellon IT Lab Summer Security Intensive Fellow, and a leadership training specialist in operations. She designed and built every part of GoPassy: the iPhone app, the Android app, the backend, and this website.

Why it exists

At career fairs, the same thing kept happening: someone spells out their LinkedIn URL, the other person types it wrong, and a good connection quietly disappears. Paper cards run out, get lost, or go straight in a drawer.

Everyone already carries the fix. Apple Wallet is a tap away, works without a signal, and every phone camera can read a QR code. GoPassy makes the wallet pass itself the business card, so sharing takes a second and the other person needs nothing installed.

What GoPassy does

• Free: up to 3 passes, each with your name, a headline, a link, and a QR code in Apple Wallet.
• Pro, $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year: unlimited passes, custom colors and logos, scan analytics, a notification each time you’re scanned, and NFC tap-to-share.
• Teams: companies give their people Pro on one invoice and see scans across events, which suits campus recruiting.

GoPassy isn’t GoPass

GoPassy is spelled with a “y,” and it isn’t connected to the transit, travel, toll, or password apps named GoPass. Those are different companies. GoPassy is a digital business card app, made by an independent developer in New Jersey.

Where it’s going

Android with Google Wallet is next, followed by more for recruiting teams: better event reporting and a simple way for students to share their details with an employer they meet, if they choose to.
